CB100F Open Air Integrated Canning Line

The CB Series of integrated fillers/seamers provide canning line technology, designed specifically for and scaled to the needs of craft beverage packaging.

Filling Features

  • Twelve sanitary 316 stainless steel filling heads utilizing PSA designed fill-nozzle technology
  • Repeatable fill volume control using proprietary magnetic flowmeter technology capable of 1 ml precision input by operator on HMI; hygienic with no moving parts
  • Sanitary/hygienic product supply piping and connections
  • Product supply CIP-capable up to 180 degree temperature rating with caustic cleaners
  • Filler designed for easy change for can height and body diameter
  • Can stop assembly at filler infeed with upgrade available for metered starwheel infeed

CO2 Gassing Features

  • Sanitary 316 stainless steel CO2 pre-purge nozzles located directly behind filling heads limits the distance of travel from pre-purge to filling to only 1 can body diameter for all heads
  • CO2 gassing tunnel between the filler discharge and lid application, featuring automatic shutoff to conserve CO2 usage, limits oxygen pickup between finished fill and lid application
  • Under Cover Gassing (UCG) at lid applicator chute

Seaming Features

  • Seaming levers designed with specific material and dimensions allowing torsional windup for same commercial seam as rotary equipment
  • Cam-operated Can Holding Chuck (CHC) / lower lifter with adjustable Can Holding Chuck spring
  • (2) Two lid chutes for quick end reloading
  • Angelus seaming spindle bearings
  • Cam optimized for beverage applications
  • Easily removed/replaced for future changes in material, can size and/or seam specifications.
  • Hardened tool steel for long life
  • Easy-access hand wheel can height adjustment
  • Stainless steel product area and base assembly
  • Discharge can rinser assembly with air dry

Tooling

  • One set of body and end control components
  • Titanium nitride-coated Angelloy® seaming rolls with ceramic bearings
  • Titanium nitride-coated Angelloy® seaming chucks
  • Individual Zerk fittings for manual lubrication of seaming rolls (every 72 hours)
  • Protective flange to prevent damage from maladjustment
  • Sealed for Life (SFL) seaming rolls available

Product Supply Tank

  • Level Control - Differential pressure used to maintain level in the tank
  • Pressure Control - Engineered to maintain consistent pressure throughout entire fill cycle and production run
  • Configurable set points for desired level and pressure
  • Ability to prime, purge, and run out for easy start and stop at the beginning or end of a run
  • Automatically cleaned during CIP mode

  • Allen-Bradley controls with PanelView Plus HMI and innovative IO-Link technology
  • Intuitive interface featuring data logging screen for quality control
