Hema has proven expertise in filling, capping, and seaming technologies, adapted to our customers' specific products and requirements.  Our Hema fillers are founded on a deep understanding of the market, including raw materials, packaging, and the latest trends in the space.   We proudly offer high quality solutions for applications ranging from edible oils, sauces and dressings, to sweetened products, to pre-prepared foods and meat products, as well as household and personal care.

Our Wet / Liquid Filling Machines

Hema offers a wide range of wet / liquid filling machines for plastic, glass, or metal packaging, with speeds up to 40,000 containers/hour.  Our product lines include rotary electronic, rotary mechanical, and linear mechanical machines, with weight, volumetric, and flowmeter technologies.

In addition, the Hema brand offers seaming solutions for round or shaped cans, and a wide range of capping solutions for snap-on, screw-on, pump or trigger applications.

Founded in 1936 by Henri Marchadour, Hema has been a leader in the design and manufacture of wet / liquid filling machines and packaging machines.  In 1939, the company launched the first rotary piston filler on the market for sauces and jams, followed in 1960 by the first linear piston filler for pate, securing the company's reputation for innovation and expertise.

By the 1990's, Hema fillers had become increasingly hygienic to meet demanding market requirements, and by the early 2000's, with the development of weight filling technology, the company established a leadership position for liquid filling machines.

Subsequent introductions have included members of the Quatro filler line, which rapidly became flagship products in both the liquid dairy and edible oils markets.

Hema was acquired by Barry-Wehmiller in 2015 and is an integral part of the Pneumatic Scale Angelus family.
